Today, Wenna Machinery shares: What role does the transmission chain play in the entire chain?

2023-04-08

Chains are generally metal links or rings, often used for mechanical transmission and traction. Chain shaped objects used to obstruct traffic channels (such as in streets, at river or harbor entrances), chains used for mechanical transmission.

1. The chain includes four major series: transmission chain; Conveyor chain; Pulling chain; Special purpose chain

2. A series of often metal links or rings: a chain shaped object used to obstruct traffic channels (such as at the entrance of a street, river, or harbor); Chain used for mechanical uploading;

3. The chain can be divided into short pitch precision roller chain; Short pitch precision roller chain; Bending plate roller chain for heavy load transmission; Chain for cement machinery, plate type chain; High strength chain.

The structure of the transmission chain consists of an inner link and an outer link. It is composed of five small components: inner chain plate, outer chain plate, pin shaft, sleeve, and roller. The quality of the chain depends on the pin shaft and sleeve.

In the transmission device of machine tools, commonly used transmission components include pulleys, gears, worm turbines, gear racks, and screw nuts. By using these transmission components to connect the power source with the actuator, or to connect two actuators, it is called a transmission connection. A series of sequentially arranged transmission components that form a transmission connection is called a transmission chain.

There are usually two types of transmission mechanisms in the transmission chain: one type is a transmission mechanism with fixed transmission ratio and direction, such as a fixed ratio gear pair, worm turbine pair, etc., called a fixed ratio transmission mechanism; The other type is a transmission mechanism that can change the transmission ratio and direction according to processing requirements, such as a gear change mechanism, a sliding gear change mechanism, etc., called a displacement mechanism.

According to the nature of transmission connections, transmission chains can be divided into two categories:

1. Internally connected transmission chain: The motion (rotation and linear movement) of the actuator it is connected to belongs to an independent linear motion according to motion analysis, so the relative motion relationship between the actuator components must be strictly required. A transmission chain with this type of transmission chain connection property is called an internal connection transmission chain. Therefore, transmission mechanisms with uncertain or instantaneous transmission ratio changes in the internal transmission chain, such as belt drive, chain drive, friction drive, etc. For example, when machining threads on a horizontal lathe, the thread transmission between the spindle and the tool holder is an internal transmission chain with strict requirements for transmission ratio, which can ensure and obtain the required thread pitch.

2. External transmission chain: It is the transmission chain that connects the motion source and the machine tool actuator. It enables the actuator to move at a predetermined speed and transmit a certain amount of power, but does not require a strict transmission ratio relationship between the motion source and the actuator. The change in the transmission ratio of the external transmission chain only affects productivity and surface roughness, and does not affect the formation of the surface shape of the workpiece.

Chain classification

Short pitch roller chain for transmission, double pitch roller chain for transmission, sleeve chain for transmission, bent plate roller chain for heavy load transmission, toothed chain for transmission, stepless speed change chain, long pitch conveyor chain, short pitch roller conveyor chain, double pitch roller conveyor chain, double speed conveyor chain, plate chain.
